New Nashville Resident Barry Gibb with T.G. Sheppard

Barry Gibb now calls Nashville his home. He has purchased the Johnny Cash house, and a "Welcome to Nashville" party was attended by 150 people at the BMI offices. T.G. Sheppard and his girlfriend Kelly Lang have become close friends with Barry and his wife. Barry said, "T.G. and Kelly are a part of our family."

Jerry King Visits the Tejas Broadcasting Tiki Lounge

McVay Media’s Jerry King was recently in Corpus Christi for the opening of the Tejas Broadcasting Tiki Lounge, a venue for artist showcases within the Tejas complex. This stage area is one of the two most important areas within the Tiki Lounge, and the other one is (see the next picture…)

This is the refreshment area, the other most important area in the Tejas Broadcasting complex. When Market Manager Kent Cooper recommended the placement within the Tiki Lounge for the picture, King, Clark and Dandy broke into a verse of Jimmy Buffet's “Margaritaville.

The staff at WJKK/Jackson, MS held their holiday party at PD John Anthony's home ... where he was honored with the EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD. The stations, owned by The Radio People, were voted by the men in the McVay Media offices as having the "Most Attractive Staff" in radio. We guess that saying "A face made for radio" does NOT apply to Gwen Rakestraw (GM) and her team. Merry Christmas!!!
