Talkers New Media Conference

During the most recent Talkers New Media Conference in New York City ... Mike McVay presented the Pioneer in Broadcasting Award to 90-year-old Wendy King. Wendy was on KDKA/Pittsburgh from 1951 - 1971 with her husband Ed King on the show known as "Partyline." Pictured below is the presentation and a shot of Mike interviewing Wendy on-camera for public broadcasting.

During the recent Talkers New Media Seminar (NYC - March 2010) Talkers Magazine Publisher Michael Harrison posed with the legendary pop artist and cultural icon Peter Max. Peter kicked-off the seminar by welcoming the crowd and by unveiling his latest art project which is with athlete Shaquille O'Neal.

The Fittest Morning Show in Atlanta-Runs for Haiti!

Kevin and Taylor in the Morning from 104.7 The Fish made good on a promise made during a Food for the Poor fundraiser to run the ING Georgia Marathon. The race was yesterday through the chilly streets of Atlanta and they did great!

Kevin set a personal best marathon time at 3:54:24. Taylor finished in just over 4 and one half hours. More importantly it was a HUGE fund raiser for Food for the Poor-Haiti! You can still make donations to their on-going efforts in Haiti at http://www.foodforthepoor.org/
