Broadcasting conventions aren't just-about-broadcasting any more.
The Weiss Agency's Heather Cohen with Mike McVay at Talkers magazine's New Media Seminar in New York.
Everybody who's anybody (and lots of up-and-comers) made Talkers' 11th annual NMS its biggest, best yet. Attendees weren't just from Talk Radio. And successful podcasters/vodcasters/bloggers weren't just attending. Some were featured speakers (and radio people were scribbling-as-fast-as-they-could).
Couldn't make it? Send Email to roadmap@hollandcooke.com, for a FREE download of the June newsletter from McVay Media's Holland Cooke. It was in NMS registration bags, and includes HC's my notes from the recent Streaming Media East conference -- stuff you need to know about line-extending to the new platform.
You'll also get "virtual handouts" from Holland's New Media Seminar session "MAKING MONEY With Online Content," actual links to FREE downloads of the applications/software/tools you'll need to put your work online.

The Long and The Short
Sony BMG artist Newton Faulkner compares his dreadlocks with the “more efficient” short cut of Jerry King. Faulkner recently stopped by the McVay Media Executive offices in Cleveland to play his current song, “Dream Catch Me.” Tip: If Newton comes to your market, ask him about his one man version of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It’s a killer. (L-R) VP/Operations-Programming Jerry King, Newton Faulkner, Program Coordinator Jessica McVay, and EVP/Sales Jim McVay.
